Makeup!Nothing works?Need some helpful Tips?
7 Ways to Look Younger Using Just Makeup!Nothing works better in keeping yourself young than to eat healthy and exercise. BUT, if you’d like some additional ways to look younger instantly, here’s some helpful tricks!
1. Skip the Powder
As we age, we tend to lose the natural “glow” to the skin. Adding powder can make the skin too matte looking and dull or can make it look cakey. Opt for liquid foundations or tinted moisturizers as they allow the skin to shine through.
Choosing the right foundation is the first step to a successful makeup result. Perfect matching foundation can only be assessed by correct estimation of skin type, natural color and skin tone. Since most Caucasian, Latin, African and Asian women have yellow-based skin, they must buy foundation with a yellow base too so that it doesn’t look like a mask.
Sun, wind, cold weather, and other environmental components can damage your skin, but a good foundation can easily aid in preventing such damage.
You will know you have chosen the best foundation when you find that the shade virtually disappears on your face.
start in the center of your cheeks and your forehead. From these places you can blend outward with the soft hairs of your face and get a smoother look and even coverage.
Forms of Makeup Foundation:
Stick Foundation: This is a cream foundation and concealer in one. It works well for normal to dry skin. It will provide more coverage and it is quick to apply.
Translucent Veil: Because of its talc-free formula, with added vitamin E and green tea antioxidants, the Translucent Veil protects skin as it works to hide blemishes and dark spots.
Liquid Foundation: Most common foundation because it works for practically everyone. Liquid foundation gives good coverage and there are many formulas to choose from. A majority of cosmetic companies have different forms of liquid foundation for normal, dry, combination and oily.
2. Apply a Creamy Pink Blush
Powder blush can also dull the skin, so using a cream blush adds a glow to the cheeks. Plus the pink color adds a nice flush to the cheeks that gives a youthful appearance.
Use the colour on the blush area. This is the part of the face between parallel lines, one extending outward from the corner of your eye and the second from the bottom of your nose.Smile and lightly touch the blusher brush on the fatty part of the cheek and gently brush the blusher toward the temple, making a slight curve.A touch of colour across the forehead and on the chin cometes the look. The cream rouge is applied to the cheeks with the fingertips in small amounts and spread in the desired fashion. The powder blusher is applied with a brush.
3. Curl your Lashes
No matter how short your eyelashes are you can make the most of them by curling them.
Making your eyes appear larger and more open is a great way to make you look younger. The best way to accomplish that:
- Position the curler about mid way along the lashes,Make sure that all the lashes are between the clamps.
- Close and hold the curler, fully clamped on the lashes for a few seconds.
- Make sure the curler is fully open before removing it from your lashes.
- curl your lashes and apply 1-2 coats of mascara.Apply mascara straight away – this can help set the lashes. While the mascara is wet, brush the lashes from beneath, upwards. This will also help to curl the lashes.
4. Wear Plumping Lipgloss
Making the lips look full and glossy is another way to look younger, plus it makes them look uber sexy and kissable!
When purchasing lip gloss there are important factors to consider among the most important are stickiness, glossiness, staying power, taste, smell, application and greasiness.
Plumping lip gloss has become a popular alternative to lip plumping procedures performed by plastic surgeons or dermatologists such as Botox® or fat injections, which can be both costly and painful. However, the effects of lip plumping gloss are much more temporary compared to injections.Plumping lip gloss, or lip plumper, is a topical gloss that contains ingredients which slightly irritate the lips, causing a mild inflammatory reaction that results in the appearance of redder, fuller lips. Peppermint and cinnamon are often components in plumping lip gloss, as they can cause the lips’ blood vessels to swell slightly. Some brands of plumping lip gloss also claim to work using microspheres, which draw water molecules to the lips and cause them to swell slightly.
Avoid dark shades as that can make lips look smaller.
5. Conceal your Dark Circles
When you have those big dark half-moons under your eyes, an objective observer is likely to guess your age as 8-12 years older than without those under-eye blemishes. Dark circles make you look older, tired, stressed, sick, depressed and just plain bad.
Whether it’s age or lack of sleep that’s giving you shadows under your eyes, hiding them with concealer will automatically make you look fresh! The trick is to use a peach or coral color concealer to counteract the blueness of the dark circles. Then applying a concealer on top that is your natural skin color or one shade lighter will brighten this area.
The most effective remedy for dark circles is also the most cliche. Thin slices of cucumber applied to your eyes not only helps to lighten the skin, but also soothes and cools the eyes. This can be especially comforting if you’ve been up late the night before or your eyes are red and tired from allergies or staring at a laptop screen.
When you’re applying concealer for hiding dark under-eye circles, use a light touch. Too much concealer will draw attention to the skin under your eyes.
If using mascara, don’t apply it to the lower lashes. Flakes of mascara frequently fall from the lower lashes and make dark under-eye circles look darker.
Yellow-base concealer is generally the best choice for hiding dark under-eye circles. Remember to counter-balance the most prominent undertone in your dark circles.
6. Wing Your Liner
Eyeliner can make even the smallest eyes appear larger. Applying it correctly is the key, you don’t want the line to be too dark, harsh and obvious or you risk looking overdone.
The key is to apply with a light hand. opt for a lighter shade than kohl or black. The basic eye is all about appearing natural.
Getting that droopiness to the eyelids is another change that happens as we age, but bringing your eyeliner up and out will help lift the eyes. Take a bent liner brush and some gel liner, apply along the upper lashline and wing it up on the outer edge of the eyes.
7. Wear Light shimmery shadow
Shadows with a slight gleam or shimmer are safe and will not emphasize your lines or wrinkles. On the opposite end, using a shadow that is too matte can make your eyes appear dry ,cakey, and wrinkled. So with this in mind, choosing a slight shimmer or regular shadow would be ideal for a more mature eye lid.
Applying a light colored shimmery shadow near the tear duct and just under the brows will brighten your eyes and make you look more awake. The key is to not wear shimmery shadow all over the eyes- JUST near the tear duct and under the brows.
